Changes in Response to Covid-19
In advance of your first treatment session I will email you some paperwork that outlines changes made to my clinics in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. I can provide a copy of the Covid-19 Consent Form for you to sign at the start of the session, so there is no need to worry if you do not have a printer at home.
Needless to say, if you have experienced any symptoms related to Covid-19 in the days leading up to your appointment (raised temperature, new continuous cough, loss of sense of smell or taste) please let me know. As a precaution, I will take your temperature as you arrive using a non-contact thermometer that will be pointed at your forehead (you won’t feel a thing and it only takes two seconds!). If your temperature is high we will discuss whether treatment is appropriate.
I will be wearing full Personal Protective Equipment for your appointment (disposable mask, gloves and apron, plus visor when appropriate) and my professional body also requires that patients wear a mask (this does not have to be a surgical-style mask, it could be whatever face covering you would use to go into shops etc). I can provide one for you if you do not have one.
Alcohol gel and hand washing facilities will be available for you as you arrive.
Please be assured that my treatment room and communal areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before and after treatments in order to minimise any risks to your health and mine as much as possible. For this reason I would also encourage you to bring a bottle of water with you please so that you can have a drink after the treatment if you want one, as I will not be able to provide one unfortunately.
I hope that all doesn’t sound too daunting – as much as I practically can I will endeavour to make your treatment sessions as comfortable as they would have been prior to Covid-19!
